Welcome To The Scout Troop.

The scouts on a day out at Crocky Trail near Chester. Its was brilliant they all agreed it needs a 2nd visit. Below are a few of the pictures taken on the day.

Below is dinner before & after, the lads skinned, gutted and cooked the rabbits ... tastes "just like chicken"

Below left is one of the best shelters built by 2 of our scouts. Below right is the lads waiting for the bushtucker trials to start.

The scouts took part in the Red "Flanders" Poppy project, run by the Propects Charity. I met up with the manager of Fox Hill Nature Reserve and he kindly let us use a bit of land to prepare and sow our poppy seeds. Hopefully they will bloom and help in the remembrance of the Battle of the Somme.Below shows the scouts preparing the ground and sowing seeds before it got too dark.

The scouts put in an impressive effort on the pedal-a-thon all those who took part were presented with a medal & certificate. 7 of the scouts also gained their Fitness Challenge badge. Here are a few of them-

The scouts are carrying out a project to build 2 go-karts from rubbish and unwanted items. The chassis's are built now it's the wheels and steering to contend with. They are doing really well.

Recently the troop as grown to 16 scouts which is brilliant, a far cry from the 4 die-hards we started with. We have started with a programme to enable the scout to gain activity badges.

Most have just gained the Stage 1 Emergency Aid Badge    and we have started Stage 2.

Also last week most completed Stage 1 Info Technology  and I was impressed by their effort.

The gang at laser quest, we had a top night. (the pic quality is down to the smoke). The overall winner is being held aloft. But the team winners were Craig & Myself........... you just dont lose it.
